Instructions

  • 1.   In a saucepan, mix the sugar and water and heat gently. When the mixture starts to thicken, gradually add the balsamic vinegar while stirring lightly. Cook over very low heat until the caramel is ready.
  • 2.   To make your cherry tomato recipe, place the sesame seeds on a plate. Skewer the small tomatoes with wooden picks, dip them one by one in the caramel, and then roll them in the sesame seeds. Place them on a sheet of parchment paper before serving to allow them to dry and the caramel to harden.
  • 3.   Present your caramelized cherry tomato lollipops with sesame seeds with the picks in a small jar, with the "head" (the tomato in this case) facing upwards, or alternatively, on a flat plate with the head facing downwards and the picks in the air, ready to be grabbed!
