Instructions

  • 1.   Pour oil into a saucepan and heat.
  • 2.   When the oil is hot, add the rice and stir until the rice is slightly translucent. Salt to taste and stir.
  • 3.   Pour water (you can add a bay leaf or kaffir lime leaf to flavor the rice). As soon as the water boils, reduce the heat to low, cover the saucepan, and let cook for 15-20 minutes.
  • 4.   Turn off the heat and let it sit in the covered saucepan for another 5-10 minutes before serving.
