Instructions

  • 1.   Soak the split peas in water for an entire night.
  • 2.   Put the split peas in a pot, add the spices and crushed garlic, then cover with water. Cook, stirring occasionally and monitoring the water level.
  • 3.   Once the split peas are tender, blend them and return the pot to the heat. Add the olive oil, stir carefully to ensure it mixes well with the puree. Remove the pot from the heat.
  • 4.   Serve the split pea puree hot, seasoned with cumin, paprika, and drizzled with a dash of olive oil.

  • 6 garlic cloves
  • 1 glass of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1 drizzle of water
  • salt (according to taste)
