Instructions

  • 1.   Place the split peas in a saucepan.
  • 2.   Cover generously with cold water.
  • 3.   Cook for about 35 minutes.

    The vegetables should be tender.
  • 4.   Add salt halfway through cooking.
  • 5.   Drain them and keep the cooking water.
  • 6.   Blend the split peas with olive oil and the cooking water. Add it gradually.

    You should obtain a smooth puree that is not too thick.
  • 7.   Add ½ teaspoon of curry.
  • 8.   Adjust the seasoning.
  • 9.   Serve hot with meat, fish, or vegetables.
