Green Lentils (basic recipes)

Ingredients doubled for quantity depending on whether using a kitchen scale or a measuring cup

Instructions

  • 1.   In a saucepan
    Place the lentils in 5 times their volume of cold water.
    Once boiling, cook over low heat for 25 to 30 minutes.
    Drain, season with salt and pepper.
  • 2.   In a pressure cooker
    Place the lentils in 3 times their volume of cold water.
    Cook over low heat for 8 to 10 minutes after the valve starts rotating.
    Drain, season with salt and pepper.
