Caramelized sesame tofu

Instructions

  • 1.   Mix all the marinade ingredients in a large bowl. Cut the tofu into cubes and mix it with the marinade. Let it marinate for 30 minutes to 2 hours.
    Heat the oil over high heat in a pan, place the tofu in the pan without the marinade and cook for a few minutes until the tofu starts to brown.
    Pour the marinade into the pan and add the sugar. Mix well. Let it reduce while stirring regularly. Add the sesame seeds and mix again until the tofu is completely coated in reduced caramel.
    Serve with Thai or jasmine rice, cilantro, green onions, sautéed vegetables... as desired.

  • 1.5 teaspoon of ginger puree
  • Marinade :
  • 2 tablespoon of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoon of maple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon of apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoon of water
  • 200 g of firm tofu
  • Plat :
  • 2 tablespoon of oil
  • 2 tablespoon of cane sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame seed
  • 1 glass of rice
