1. Wash the basil under cold water, pat dry, and chop.
Peel the garlic cloves.
2. Slice the garlic cloves, wash the tomatoes under cold water, and dice.
Cut the peppers, remove the core, and rinse.
3. Cut the peppers into thin strips.
In a medium skillet, heat the oil, add onions and garlic cloves.
Cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
4. In the skillet, add the peppers, tomatoes, cook over moderate heat for about 15 to 20 minutes, then add the salt, pepper, and cumin.
5. At the end of cooking, add the basil and serve.
