Chien Sauce and ginger (spicy optional)

Sauce inspired by the Caribbean. It will perfectly accompany your vegetables, grilled meats, and fish, as well as seafood (lobster, lobster, crab, ...) Personal tip: it's amazing on fries! For a more "traditional" recipe, simply remove the ginger from the list of ingredients.

Instructions

  • 1.   In a saucepan, bring water and white wine to a boil.
  • 2.   Finely chop garlic, onion, shallot, chili pepper, tomato, parsley, chives, and ginger. Put everything in a large bowl.
  • 3.   Add oil and freshly squeezed lemon juice to the bowl, mix. Season to taste.
  • 4.   Divide the mixture into one or two jars, depending on their size.
  • 5.   Cover with the mixture of water and wine.
  • 6.   Let it cool.

Notes & Suggestions

  • It can be stored for 4 to 5 days, closed jar, in the refrigerator.

  • 1 vegetarian pepper
  • 1 small chili pepper (optional)
  • 1 tomato
  • 6 teaspoon of chopped parsley
  • 1 bunch of chives
  • 2 teaspoon of grated fresh ginger
  • 2 limes
  • 10 cl of oil
  • 1 glass of water
  • 10 cl of white wine
  • salt (according to taste)
  • pepper (according to taste)
