Red lentil dahl

Instructions

  • 1.   - Wash the tomatoes and cut them into cubes. Peel the carrots and cut them into thin slices.
  • 2.   - In a saucepan, pour the red lentils and cover with water. Bring to a boil. Let cook for about 10 minutes, until all the water is absorbed. Remove from heat and let it rest.
  • 3.   - In a sauté pan, pour the oil and heat it. Add the garlic and let it cook for a minute. Then add the vegetables and sprinkle with the spices. Finally, add the tomato paste.
  • 4.   - Pour the coconut milk and let it simmer for about 10 minutes, uncovered.
  • 5.   - Finally, add the lentils and mix everything well.

  • 30 cl of red lentil
  • 5 tomatoes
  • 4 carrots
  • 25 cl of coconut milk
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 tablespoon of tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon of turmeric powder
  • ½ teaspoon of ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon of ginger powder
  • 1 tablespoon of sunflower oil
