1. Soak the chickpeas and fava beans in water for 12 hours, drain them, and cook them in a pressure cooker for 45 minutes.
2. Peel the onion and garlic, and chop them along with the parsley.
3. Blend the fava beans and chickpeas in a blender (or food processor).
4. Mix them with the parsley, onion, garlic, flour, spices, and salt.
5. Knead the mixture with your hands, adding a little water if necessary. Gather the dough and let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
6. Shape about thirty balls the size of a 2 euro coin.
7. Fry them for 2-3 minutes, then drain them on paper towels.
8. Serve hot or cold with small tomato herb sauces or yogurt sauces.
