Teriyaki express chicken

An express, tender and golden Teriyaki chicken with a homemade sauce! Serve with rice.

  • 1.   Peel the ginger and garlic clove
  • 2.   In a saucepan, bring the water, brown sugar, soy sauce, honey and crushed garlic and ginger to a boil over low heat to obtain a syrup
  • 3.   Cut the chicken into thin strips and roll it in the cornstarch
  • 4.   Dissolve 2 tsp. cornflour in 4 tbsp. of water then pour into the pan and let the sauce thicken over medium heat, mixing
  • 5.   In a skillet, brown the chicken pieces for 5 minutes with a little oil, turning them over
  • 6.   Finally add the Teriyaki sauce and simmer for another 3 minutes. Serve with rice.

  • 220 ml of water
  • 50 g of brown sugar
  • 60 ml of soya sauce
  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon of honey (optional)
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 2 tablespoon of corn flour
  • 1 small fresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoon of oil
