Mulled Wine with Thermomix

Instructions

  • 1.   Put 750 grams of red wine and 1 star anise in the Thermomix. Heat 9 min/80°C/.
  • 2.   Add 1 orange zest, 100 grams of brown sugar, 3 pinches of pepper (adjust according to taste), 1 pinch of ground nutmeg (adjust according to taste), ½ teaspoon of cinnamon powder (adjust according to taste), 3 cloves, and 3 pinches of ground ginger in the Thermomix. Cook 20 min/90°C//.
  • 3.   Serve very hot in glasses, straining with a sieve.

Notes & Suggestions

  • To get closer to the Roman recipe, replace the sugar with the same amount of liquid honey.
