Instructions

  • 1.   Pour the packet of yeast into a bowl and add a little warm water. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  • 2.   Add the flour, margarine, and salt.
  • 3.   Gradually add water until you obtain a good consistency.
  • 4.   Knead the dough for 5 minutes. Cover with a towel and let it rise for 2 hours.
  • 5.   Punch down the dough and divide it into 6 equal parts.
  • 6.   Roll out the dough balls slightly with a rolling pin.
  • 7.   Heat a pot of oil.
  • 8.   Fry the bokits and drain them on paper towels. Remember to flip them regularly during cooking to ensure even cooking.
  • 9.   Cut open horizontally and fill to your liking (vegetables, salted cod chiquetaille, chicken, ham and cheese...)
