Chocolate Hazelnut Spread with Thermomix

Instructions

  • 1.   Preheat the oven to 200°C. Roast 250 g of hazelnuts for 7 to 10 minutes.
  • 2.   Meanwhile, blend 170 g of sugar and 10 g of vanilla sugar into powdered sugar for 20 seconds/speed 10.
    Personally, I don't use vanilla sugar, I make it myself by leaving a vanilla pod in 1 kg of sugar in an airtight container.
  • 3.   At the end of the hazelnut roasting, transfer them to a damp cloth.
    Close the cloth and massage the hazelnuts through the fabric. The goal is to remove the hazelnut skins for a smooth texture.
  • 4.   Add the still warm hazelnuts to the powdered sugar remaining in the Thermomix bowl, then blend for 2 minutes/speed 6.
  • 5.   Now add all the other ingredients and blend again for 2 minutes/speed 6.
  • 6.   The spread will thicken slightly as it cools. It can be stored in a pantry (or in the fridge if you prefer a firmer texture) for several weeks!

Notes & Suggestions

  • For quality ingredients:
    Organic cold-pressed virgin coconut oil.
    Prefer organic unrefined sugar.
    Organic hazelnut oil.
