Instructions
1. Clean the fennel by removing the toughest leaves. Wash them thoroughly and roughly slice them.
2. In a pan, heat some olive oil. When it is hot, add the fennel and cook over medium-high heat until it starts to brown. Then, add about 10 cl of water, reduce the heat, and let it cook for about half an hour.
3. There should be no liquid left at the end of cooking. If needed, add more water during cooking. Just before serving, deglaze with a tablespoon of balsamic vinegar.
