Fried Egg on Toast

A quick and fun dish when you lack inspiration. As an appetizer, as a main course with a salad, or for brunch, it will delight both young and old! You can customize it according to your desires and the contents of your fridge: bacon, cheese, sour cream, bacon, smoked salmon, pesto, herbs... You can use all kinds of bread and different shapes of cookie cutters.

Instructions

  • 1.   Using a cookie cutter or a small glass, cut a hole in the slice of bread.
  • 2.   Heat the oil in a pan and toast the bread and the piece you removed on both sides.
  • 3.   Add the egg into the hole and let it cook gently.
    Towards the end of cooking, cover the pan with a lid to cook the egg white on top.
  • 4.   Sprinkle with chopped chives and serve hot.
  • 5.   Enjoy!
