Traditional Hot Chocolate

Sugar-free and dairy-free.

Low carb Hot-chocolate Vegan

Instructions

  • 1.   Heat the chocolate, maple syrup (or other sweetener), plant-based milk, and hazelnut butter. (if desired, using a double boiler).
  • 2.   Stir gradually using a spoon or silicone spatula until the chocolate has melted and you have a smooth mixture (about 7 minutes).
  • 3.   Add spices of your choice: vanilla extract, cinnamon, ground ginger, chili, orange zest. Mix well and serve immediately.

Ingredients for servings

  • 80 g of van Houten chocolate without sugar
  • 160 g of plant-based milk
  • 1 tablespoon of maple syrup
  • ¼ teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon of cinnamon powder (optional)
  • 20 g of hazelnut butter (optional)
  • 1 pinch of orange zest (optional)
  • 1 pinch of ginger powder (optional)
  • 1 pinch of Cayenne pepper (optional)
