Tuna Lasagna

Made with tuna and tomato sauce, these lasagna will be loved by both kids and adults at the table.

Instructions

  • 1.   Preheat the oven to 180°C or 350°F.
  • 2.   Drain, then crumble the canned tuna in a bowl, using a fork.
  • 3.   Add the cream, basil tomato sauce, lightly salt and pepper to taste, and mix well. Set aside.
  • 4.   Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil over high heat.
  • 5.   Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium and cook the lasagna sheets in the boiling water. Cook them according to the package instructions or until they are al dente.
  • 6.   When the lasagna sheets are cooked, drain them on paper towels.
  • 7.   Pour a thin layer of the tuna and tomato sauce mixture into the bottom of a rectangular baking dish.
  • 8.   Place 3 drained lasagna sheets on the bottom of the dish. Cover with 1/3 of the tuna and tomato sauce mixture.
  • 9.   Place another 3 drained lasagna sheets on top and 1/3 of the tuna and tomato sauce mixture.
  • 10.   Repeat the process 1 more time and finish with a final layer of lasagna sheets.
  • 11.   Sprinkle the lasagna with grated gruyère cheese, then salt and pepper to taste.
  • 12.   Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 30 minutes or until the cheese on top is golden brown.
  • 13.   Serve these tuna lasagna immediately after removing from the oven. Serve with a dressed green salad.
