1. Preheat the oven to 210°C (410°F).
2. Mix the flour and baking powder in a bowl.
3. Add the softened butter and knead until you obtain a sandy dough.
4. Add the whole egg, salt, pepper, and grated cheddar, then mix until you obtain a homogeneous dough ball.
5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
6. Take small portions of dough and shape them into balls on the baking sheet.
7. Flatten them slightly with the back of a spoon.
8. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until the biscuits are golden.
9. Let them cool after removing from the oven.
10. Store the biscuits in an airtight container until ready to serve.
