Homemade Cheddar Biscuits

Instructions

  • 1.   Preheat the oven to 210°C (410°F).
  • 2.   Mix the flour and baking powder in a bowl.
  • 3.   Add the softened butter and knead until you obtain a sandy dough.
  • 4.   Add the whole egg, salt, pepper, and grated cheddar, then mix until you obtain a homogeneous dough ball.
  • 5.   Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • 6.   Take small portions of dough and shape them into balls on the baking sheet.
  • 7.   Flatten them slightly with the back of a spoon.
  • 8.   Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until the biscuits are golden.
  • 9.   Let them cool after removing from the oven.
  • 10.   Store the biscuits in an airtight container until ready to serve.

  • 1 egg
  • ½ teaspoon of baking powder
