Quiche Lorraine

Most often consumed hot as an appetizer, and increasingly at cocktail parties or lunches, Quiche Lorraine is a variation of the quiche from the Lorraine region.

Instructions

  • 1.   Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • 2.   Roll out the dough in a pie dish, prick it with a fork. Sprinkle with butter shavings.
  • 3.   Sauté the bacon in a dry skillet.
  • 4.   Beat the eggs, fresh cream, and milk.
  • 5.   Add the bacon. Season with salt (not too much, as the bacon is already salty), pepper, and nutmeg.
  • 6.   Pour the mixture over the dough.
  • 7.   Bake for 45 to 50 minutes.

  • 200 g of smoked bacon
  • 30 g of butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 20 cl of sour cream
  • 20 cl of milk
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of pepper
