Whole wheat croques, tomato slices, goat cheese, pesto, and arugula

Whole wheat croques, tomato, fresh goat cheese, pesto, and arugula, cooked in the air fryer (AIR FRY mode 180 °C, 8 min). Equipment: 1 bowl and 1 rack.

Instructions

  • 1.   Pour the pesto and skyr into a bowl and mix into a cream. Season with salt and pepper.
  • 2.   Cut the fresh goat cheese into slices. Wash the tomato and cut it into slices.
  • 3.   Generously spread two slices of bread with the basil/skyr cream, add the goat cheese slices, layering them with tomato slices, press to fill well, then finish with arugula. Cover with a second slice of bread and press each croque with the palm of your hand to flatten.
  • 4.   Place the croques on the rack in the bowl, select the AIR FRY mode 180 °C and start cooking for 8 min. Flip the croques after 5 min.
  • 5.   Enjoy warm.

Notes & Suggestions

  • Tip: for nicely golden croques, brush the bread with pesto or olive oil.
