Pea and Zucchini Flans - Steamed Cooking

Did you know that steaming is gentler and more respectful than any other cooking method? (pan, oven, bbq, etc.) Without adding any fat, it is very healthy for you! It is also very interesting from a nutritional standpoint: thanks to its slow and even cooking, the nutrients (vitamins and minerals) are preserved, not to mention the taste! With the arrival of sunny days, our bodies need healthy dishes and we naturally turn to the first spring vegetables and fruits: these little pea and zucchini flans should therefore please you a lot, they are very flavorful thanks to the fresh basil I used! 😍 Discover all our steamed cooking recipes ;-)

Instructions

  • 1.   1. Cook your peas in a pot filled with boiling water for 15 minutes. They should be very tender.
  • 2.   2. Sauté the zucchinis with the minced onion and crushed garlic clove in a pan. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt.
  • 3.   3. Blend the zucchinis, peas, eggs, and basil. The consistency should be smooth and liquid. Adjust the seasoning if necessary.
  • 4.   4. Pour into high-sided ramekins.
  • 5.   5. For steaming, place your ramekins on a rack placed at the bottom of a pot. Fill with water up to the level of the rack. Cover and let cook for 20 minutes.
  • 6.   6. Garnish with whole basil leaves, pink peppercorns, and peas. Enjoy!

  • 1 garlic clove
  • 3 olive oil
  • 2 large Egg
  • 4 leaf of basil
