What was supposed to be a little outing turned into a spring roll cooking workshop 😍 The spring roll, or "rouleau de printemps" in French, is a culinary specialty from Vietnam, consumed as an appetizer or starter. They are healthy, delicious, and fresh. You can vary the fillings, but most of the time, it consists of a rice paper wrapper filled with lettuce, rice vermicelli, raw vegetables (carrot, cucumber, bean sprouts), fresh herbs (mint or coriander), shredded chicken or pork, and cooked shrimp. The most challenging part of the recipe is the folding.
