Cauliflower with béchamel sauce

Instructions

  • 1.   Remove the stem and leaves from the cauliflower.
  • 2.   Soak it in vinegar water to eliminate insects, then rinse it.
  • 3.   Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the cauliflower in it until tender.

    Drain the cauliflower and keep it warm.
  • 4.   Melt the butter in a saucepan. Add the flour and mix.

    Gradually whisk in the milk and 20 cl of cooking water until a sauce forms.
  • 5.   Add salt, pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg.

    Cook the sauce for an additional 2 to 3 minutes.
  • 6.   Place the cauliflower in a dish and cover it with the sauce.
