Red beet gratin

Instructions

  • 1.   Cook the red beets in a pressure cooker for 10 to 15 minutes depending on the size of the beets.
  • 2.   Peel and dice them.
  • 3.   Make a béchamel sauce: put the butter and flour on the heat.

    When the mixture is frothy, add the milk all at once, add salt, pepper, nutmeg and let simmer until the sauce thickens.
  • 4.   Place the vegetables in a gratin dish, pour the sauce over them, sprinkle with grated cheese and small pieces of butter.
  • 5.   Bake in the oven at 200°C (thermostat 6-7) for 20 to 30 minutes.

  • 1 tablespoon of flour
  • 40 g of butter
  • ½ liter of milk
  • 50 g of grated cheese
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg (optional)
  • salt (according to taste)
  • pepper (according to taste)
