Christmas Shortbread Cookies

Instructions

  • 1.   Mix the sugar, flour, and a pinch of salt
  • 2.   Add the softened butter cut into pieces and mix with your fingertips until you get a sandy texture
  • 3.   Beat the egg in a bowl and add it to the dough. Mix to form a homogeneous dough ball
  • 4.   Place the dough ball in an airtight container and refrigerate for an hour
  • 5.   Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F)
  • 6.   Roll out the dough with a rolling pin on a floured surface and cut out shapes using cookie cutters.

    Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
  • 7.   Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Once the edges start to turn golden, you can remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack.
