Instructions
1. Remove the roots from the leeks and the first leaves if they are damaged. Wash them carefully and slice them.
Peel the onion and chop it finely.
2. Sauté the onions and spices in oil (or clarified butter) for a few minutes, then add the leeks and let everything simmer for 15 minutes.
3. Then add the split peas, cover generously with water, add the bay leaf and clove, and bring to a boil.
Let it simmer for about 1 hour: the split peas should be very tender.
4. Off the heat, add the cream, mix well, and sprinkle with fresh coriander before serving.
