Chocolate-filled Maamoul

These soft chocolate Maamouls remind of the sweetness of homemade cakes, prepared with love. Flavored with vanilla and zest, and filled with a chocolate heart, they will make the eyes of both kids and adults sparkle around a good tea. #cookpadapron2025 #CA2025

Instructions

  • 1.   In a bowl, mix the butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, zest, and a pinch of salt until you get a creamy texture.
  • 2.   Add the eggs one by one, mixing well after each addition.
  • 3.   Gradually incorporate the flour and baking powder until you get a smooth and soft dough.
  • 4.   Wrap the dough in film and let it rest in the fridge for 15 to 20 minutes to make it easier to work with.
  • 5.   In a Maamoul mold lined with plastic wrap, place a ball of dough.
  • 6.   Make a hollow in the center, add 1 teaspoon of chocolate spread, then close with a bit of dough.
  • 7.   Lift the plastic wrap to easily unmold the cookie. Place the Maamouls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • 8.   Bake at 150°C for 10 minutes, just enough time for them to cook without coloring too much. You can lightly sprinkle with powdered sugar after baking for an even more indulgent effect.
