Caramelized apples with cinnamon

Instructions

  • 1.   Clean and peel the apples. Cut them into small cubes. Sauté them in a pan with butter for 3 minutes. Add honey and a teaspoon of cinnamon and let the apples caramelize until they turn slightly brown (about 2 minutes).
  • 2.   Drain the apples and reserve the juice.
  • 3.   Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours. Before serving, sprinkle lightly with cinnamon.
  • 4.   Coarsely break the speculoos cookies and soak them in the cooking juice of the apples.
