1. Peel, wash the onion under running water, slice thinly.
In the blender bowl, add the grated coconut.
2. In the blender bowl, add the milk, mix for 2 minutes.
Strain into a large saucepan, press to remove excess coconut milk.
3. Bring the coconut milk to a boil, then pour the rice into the saucepan.
As soon as the rice has absorbed all the coconut milk, add salt and sugar, mix.
4. Shell the peas, set aside.
In the saucepan, pour the water, salt, bring to a boil.
5. Once boiling, pour the peas into the saucepan.
Cook for 10 to 15 minutes, taste a pea to check for doneness.
Drain.
6. In the pan, add the oil, the onions.
Brown the mixture, then stop cooking.
7. Mix the rice, peas, and the contents of the pan, taste and adjust the seasoning.
Sprinkle with parsley and serve immediately with meat or fish.
