Chickpea fritters

Instructions

  • 1.   Peel and chop the garlic and onion. Rinse and finely chop the coriander.
  • 2.   Drain the chickpeas, blend them with the onion, garlic, coriander, cumin, pepper, and eggs until you obtain a smooth batter. Incorporate the whole wheat flour and baking powder.
  • 3.   Heat the oil in a large frying pan.
  • 4.   With your hands, shape the batter into fritters and fry them in the hot oil until golden brown.
  • 5.   Place the fritters on a paper towel to absorb the excess oil.
  • 6.   Serve with crushed tomatoes, seasoned with pepper and a pinch of salt.

  • 1 pinch of pepper
  • 2 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 eggs
  • 250 g of chickpeas (canned, drained weight)
  • 250 g of crushed tomato
  • 3 tablespoon of rapeseed oil
  • 3 tablespoon of wheat flour
  • 1 pinch of salt
