Lemon and Poppy Seed Cake

Today, I am sharing a recipe that brings a little sweetness into our daily lives: a lemon and poppy seed cake. A simple but comforting treat.

Instructions

  • 1.   Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • 2.   In a bowl, mix the heavy cream and sugar. Beat them together until you get a smooth mixture.
  • 3.   Add the eggs one by one while continuing to mix.
  • 4.   Incorporate the flour and baking powder into the mixture, sifting them to avoid lumps.
  • 5.   Then add the lemon zest and the juice of 1.5 lemons, as well as the poppy seeds. Mix well to evenly distribute these ingredients.
  • 6.   Pour the mixture into the brioche mold placed on the perforated baking sheet.
  • 7.   Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes.
  • 8.   Allow to cool before unmolding.
