Roasted bananas in the oven with honey and nuts

Instructions

  • 1.   Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  • 2.   Roughly crush the nuts in a small bowl. Add cinnamon and mix well.
  • 3.   Cut the bananas in half lengthwise and place them in an oven-safe dish.
  • 4.   Brush each banana half with a tablespoon of honey, then sprinkle the nut mixture on top.
  • 5.   Place a small knob of butter on each banana half.
  • 6.   Place the dish in the oven and bake for about 10-15 minutes, until the bananas are golden and the nuts are lightly toasted.
  • 7.   Serve hot, accompanied by a scoop of vanilla ice cream if desired.
