Quick Sugar Donuts Recipe

Here is a quick recipe for delicious sugar donuts. 5 minutes of preparation is enough, let the dough rest for 30 minutes even if you use baking powder, so that the flour can absorb the liquid well, the principle is the same as for pancake batter.

Instructions

  • 1.   In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, and sifted baking powder.
  • 2.   Make a well and pour in the egg yolks and oil, then add the milk in 3/4 portions while mixing to incorporate the flour gradually, this will prevent the formation of lumps.
  • 3.   Mix well to obtain a homogeneous dough.
  • 4.   Let it rest for 30 minutes.
  • 5.   In a deep saucepan or a deep fryer, pour oil up to 1/3 and heat it over high heat.
  • 6.   Once the oil is hot, reduce the heat and cook the dough balls, a few donuts at a time, for about 2 minutes on each side.
  • 7.   To place the donuts in the oil, I used a tablespoon because the dough is quite liquid and cannot be kneaded.
  • 8.   Once the donuts are cooked, place them on a paper towel to remove excess oil, then roll them in powdered sugar.

  • 250 g of T55 flour
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 tablespoon of oil
  • 1 bag of baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 25 cl of milk
