Caramelized Banana Spring Rolls

Instructions

  • 1.   Preheat the oven to 200 °C (400 °F). Peel the bananas and cut them into slices.
  • 2.   Separate the sheets of filo pastry, brush them with melted butter, and cut them in half. On the upper part of each half sheet, distribute the banana slices.
  • 3.   Fold the sides of the pastry and roll the sheet up. Place them on a baking sheet lined with oiled parchment paper and bake for 10 minutes.
  • 4.   Meanwhile, heat the sugar in a saucepan with 2 tablespoons of water and melt it into caramel until it turns a beautiful golden color.
  • 5.   Off the heat, add 5 cl of water (be careful of splatters) and mix until you obtain a sauce. Stir in the sesame seeds.
  • 6.   Using two forks, dip the spring rolls into the caramel and place them on a sheet of parchment paper. Enjoy immediately.
