Instructions

  • 1.   Dissolve the yeast in 10 cl of warm water and let it rest for 5 min.
  • 2.   Pour the flour into the bowl of a stand mixer, add the salt, sugar, and softened butter cut into cubes. Start kneading and then add the dissolved yeast and warm milk, kneading for 3 to 4 minutes, until you obtain a homogeneous and elastic dough.
  • 3.   Transfer the dough to a bowl, cover, and let it rest for 2 hours until it doubles in size.
  • 4.   Punch down the dough on a floured work surface, then shape it into a loaf and place it in a loaf pan.
  • 5.   Let it rise again for about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  • 6.   Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Bake the sandwich bread for about 30 minutes. Remove from the pan and let it cool on a wire rack before serving.
