Instructions

  • 1.   Bring the cream and milk to a boil, add nutmeg and grated cheese while stirring gently until melted.
  • 2.   Let it cool. Clean the leeks and cut them into strips. Peel the carrots and cut them into rounds.
  • 3.   Then cut the sausage into rounds and the potatoes into thin rounds.
  • 4.   Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Rub a gratin dish with the cut garlic clove, then butter it.
  • 5.   Arrange the vegetables and sausage in successive rows. Lightly season the vegetables between each layer and pour the mixture of cream, milk, and cheese over everything.
  • 6.   Bake for about 55 minutes in the middle of the oven, then increase the temperature to 400°F (200°C) (if the gratin browns too quickly, like it did for me, cover it with aluminum foil) and let it brown for another 15 minutes until the top is golden brown.

  • 1 pinch of nutmeg
  • 200 g of leek
  • 200 g of carrot
  • 400 g of potato
  • 1 garlic clove
