Instructions

  • 1.   Slice the onion and cut the carrots into rounds.
  • 2.   Boil the lasagna sheets in salted boiling water for 3-4 minutes.
  • 3.   Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F).
Scrape the skin off the ginger with a spoon and cut it into small cubes.
  • 4.   Remove the cooked lasagna sheets from the water and lay them flat to prevent sticking. You can place them on a sheet of parchment paper greased with olive oil.
Now let's move on to the filling.
  • 5.   Melt the butter in a pan and wait for it to get hot. Tip: it's better to use butter instead of oil.
Add the ginger and carrots to the butter.
Then gradually add the ground meat to ensure it browns well!
  • 6.   Increase the heat and avoid stirring. We want to sear and create some browning.
Add a tablespoon of sugar to caramelize everything.
Add the cream and garlic, and let it reduce with the meat. You can even add the carrot greens to the mixture.
  • 7.   Now it's time to assemble the lasagna. Fill generously with the filling for extra indulgence. Once done, sprinkle generously with grated gruyère cheese.
  • 8.   Bake in the oven for 4 minutes under the broiler to allow the lasagna to gratin!
