1. Slice the onion and cut the carrots into rounds.
2. Boil the lasagna sheets in salted boiling water for 3-4 minutes.
3. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F).
Scrape the skin off the ginger with a spoon and cut it into small cubes.
4. Remove the cooked lasagna sheets from the water and lay them flat to prevent sticking. You can place them on a sheet of parchment paper greased with olive oil.
Now let's move on to the filling.
5. Melt the butter in a pan and wait for it to get hot. Tip: it's better to use butter instead of oil.
Add the ginger and carrots to the butter.
Then gradually add the ground meat to ensure it browns well!
6. Increase the heat and avoid stirring. We want to sear and create some browning.
Add a tablespoon of sugar to caramelize everything.
Add the cream and garlic, and let it reduce with the meat. You can even add the carrot greens to the mixture.
7. Now it's time to assemble the lasagna. Fill generously with the filling for extra indulgence. Once done, sprinkle generously with grated gruyère cheese.
8. Bake in the oven for 4 minutes under the broiler to allow the lasagna to gratin!
