Pumpkin and potato gratin

Do you have a piece of pumpkin and a few potatoes left in your pantry and you don't know how to accommodate them? Prepare a delicious pumpkin and potato gratin in no time! Scented with a few basil leaves and cooked in liquid cream, the slices of potatoes and pumpkin will be tasty and well-melted.

  • 1.   Preheat the oven to 180 ° C (thermostat 6). Peel the potatoes and pumpkin. Cut them into strips, wash them and dry them with absorbent paper.
  • 2.   Peel and slice the onion then brown it in a lightly oiled pan. Add the liquid cream, the washed and dried basil leaves. Season with salt and pepper and mix the preparation with a wooden spoon.
  • 3.   In a large salad bowl, mix the slices of potatoes and pumpkin.
  • 4.   Divide half of it in a previously buttered gratin dish. Pour the preparation of liquid cream with onion and basil. Cover with the rest of the potatoes and pumpkin.
  • 5.   Bake for 20 minutes. Sprinkle the top of the pumpkin and potato gratin with the grated cheese. Place the dish in the oven for 15 minutes. Serve hot, when the cheese is browned.
