Leek and Curry Flavored Rice Gratin

Instructions

  • 1.   Bring water to a boil.
  • 2.   Clean and slice onions and leeks.
  • 3.   Cook the rice in the boiling salted water (about 12 minutes).
  • 4.   Sauté the onions in a little fat.
  • 5.   Once they are soft, add the leeks, diced tomatoes, curry, and simmer for 25 minutes (the leeks should be cooked).
  • 6.   In a gratin dish, place 3/4 of the cooked rice.
  • 7.   Pour the leek mixture over the rice and cover with the remaining rice.
  • 8.   Cut the small goats' cheese into thin slices and distribute them on top of the gratin.
  • 9.   Place under the broiler until it browns (it's best to keep an eye on it, as it depends on the oven).
  • 10.   Serve with a small green salad.

  • 15 cl of water
  • 2 teaspoon of curry powder
  • 2 fresh goat cheese
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
