Prosciutto, Ricotta, and Basil Lasagna

You will enjoy these lasagna with prosciutto and ricotta in tomato sauce, without béchamel. Easy to make, they will please the whole family.

Instructions

  • 1.   Peel the onion and garlic cloves and finely chop them. Pour 2 tablespoons of olive oil into a sauté pan. Heat it up and sauté the diced onion with a pinch of salt for 5 to 6 minutes. When they start to soften, add the garlic and continue cooking for 5 minutes. Stir, then pour in the tomato sauce and a pinch of sugar. Mix well and let it heat for 2 minutes, then turn off the heat and set aside.
  • 2.   Put the ricotta in a bowl and mash it with a fork. Tear the prosciutto into pieces (remove any fat if present).
  • 3.   Start assembling: Pour 1 tablespoon of oil into the bottom of the baking dish. Place 1 lasagna sheet, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, and another lasagna sheet. Pour 1/3 of the tomato sauce. Add half of the ricotta, 1 tablespoon of oregano, and half of the sliced prosciutto. Place another lasagna sheet, drizzle it with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, cover it with another lasagna sheet, then pour 1/3 of the tomato sauce. Then add the second half of the ricotta, the second tablespoon of oregano, and the second half of the sliced prosciutto. Cover with a lasagna sheet, add a tablespoon of olive oil, the second lasagna sheet, and pour the remaining tomato sauce.
