1. Cook the pasta in a pot of salted boiling water.
2. Meanwhile, peel and chop the onion and garlic.
3. Clean, remove the seeds, and slice the bell peppers. Clean and cut the cherry tomatoes in half.
4. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a frying pan.
5. Sauté the onion and garlic until translucent.
6. Add the bell peppers, cherry tomatoes, and chopped basil, then cook for 10 minutes, stirring regularly.
7. When the pasta is cooked, drain it and add it to the mixture.
8. Season with salt and pepper, then mix well.
9. Pour everything into an ovenproof dish.
10. Sprinkle with grated gruyère cheese.
11. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes until the cheese is nicely browned.
