Cantucci (almond biscuits)

Instructions

  • 1.   Roughly chop the almonds.
  • 2.   Sift the flour and sugar. Mix with the salt and eggs to obtain a dough, then incorporate the zest and almonds.
  • 3.   Divide the dough into four parts and shape each into a log.
  • 4.   Bake for 15 minutes at 200°C.
  • 5.   Beat the egg with the milk.
  • 6.   Cut the warm logs into 3 cm slices and place them on a baking sheet. Brush them with egg yolk and continue baking for 10 minutes.
  • 7.   Remove from the oven and let cool.

  • 1 bag of baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 175 g of cane sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 lemon zest
  • 125 g of almond

  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon of milk
