Instructions

  • 1.   Peel and slice the onions
  • 2.   Sauté them in a mixture of butter and oil until they are tender and lightly golden
  • 3.   Sprinkle the mixture with flour, add hot water and white wine, and season
  • 4.   Cover and let simmer gently for 20 minutes
  • 5.   Toast the slices of bread
