Quick Chocolate Fondant (with a molten center)

This dessert is perfect for when you have an irresistible and uncontrollable craving: the recipe is really quick and easy to make.

Instructions

  • 1.   Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
    Melt the chocolate and butter in a double boiler (or in the microwave).
  • 2.   In a bowl, mix the eggs and sugar (without whisking or lightening the mixture). Add the melted chocolate and butter, then the flour.
  • 3.   Pour the mixture into the molds and bake for 8 minutes. You will achieve the result shown in the photo. I like it this way, but if you want it more (or less) molten, adjust the cooking time.

Notes & Suggestions

  • You can make them the day before, refrigerate them, and reheat them for 10 seconds in the microwave. I made these wonders in standard-sized muffin molds. Depending on the size of your molds, the cooking time may vary. If you're unsure, test the cooking time for one molten cake and adjust as needed. For me, it was exactly 8 minutes (for a fully filled mold).
