Autumn Delight Bowlcake

A delicious and indulgent bowlcake where honey, orange, and orange blossom combine with the crunch of walnuts and the sweetness of dates. Perfect for brightening up autumn mornings (or evenings!) Enjoy it warm or lukewarm.

Instructions

  • 1.   Cut the dates and walnuts into small pieces (save some pieces for decoration)
  • 2.   Using a grater, collect a teaspoon of orange zest.
  • 3.   In a bowl, mix the egg, semolina, sweetener, and baking powder.
    Add the applesauce and yogurt.
  • 4.   Add the walnuts, dates, and orange zest.
    Add a splash of orange blossom water if desired.
  • 5.   Cook in the microwave for 2.5 to 3 minutes, depending on the power. The bowlcake should remain moist.
  • 6.   While the bowlcake is cooking, squeeze 20 ml of juice into a small bowl and add a teaspoon of honey.
  • 7.   Heat for a few seconds in the microwave and pour over the bowlcake.
  • 8.   Decorate with the reserved pieces of dates and walnuts.
  • 9.   Enjoy!

  • 25 g of fine wheat semolina
  • 1 egg
  • ½ teaspoon of baking powder
  • 2 teaspoon of sweetener
  • ½ oranges
  • 2 tablespoon of unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 tablespoon of plain yogurt
  • 12 g of walnut
  • 2 dates
  • 1 teaspoon of honey
  • 1 teaspoon of orange blossom water (optional)
