Quick and easy pie

Your grandmother had told you too: when it's too cold not to cook, nothing beats a homemade pie. The one offered to you is composed of ground beef seasoned with herbs and a gourmet and unctuous mash, and it is likely that it can raise both your temperature and your morale. So beware, in the kitchen!

Fast & easy Child
Course: Main course
Preparation time: 25 minutes
Cooking time: 60 minutes

  • 1.   Start by heating a pot of salt water, peel the potatoes, wash them, cut them in large pieces, then immerse them in simmering water, cover and cook for about 30 minutes. During this cooking, peel the onion and the carrot and chop them very thinly with a knife. Take the flesh of the tomato and cut it into cubes. Finely chop the parsley. Put everything in a pan with 20 g of butter, and fry for a few minutes to brown the meat and give it taste.
  • 2.   When the potatoes are cooked, drain them and puree them with a fork or a potato masher (especially no blender that would make the texture too sticky and liquid) while incorporating the butter, nutmeg, salt, pepper and a few spoonfuls of cooking water.
  • 3.   Then preheat the oven th.7 (210 ° C), then spread 10 g of butter in the bottom of a gratin dish for 4 people. To prepare your shepherd's pie, start by spreading the beef and herbs filling in the bottom of the dish, then cover with the homemade mashed potatoes, cover with the beaten egg and spread with a brush, sprinkle with the grated cheese, and add some shavings of butter for the sake of it, and it's golden.
  • 4.   Bake the shepherd's pie for about 30 minutes (until golden brown), then serve hot or warm with a green salad, a tomato salad or a chicory salad.
