Bacon and Camembert Quiche

Instructions

  • 1.   In a pan, grill the bacon with the minced onion and garlic, set aside.
  • 2.   Whisk the heavy cream with the mascarpone and eggs, add 1 tbsp of fresh chives and 1 tbsp of flat-leaf parsley, lightly salt and pepper.
  • 3.   Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • 4.   Roll out the shortcrust pastry on a floured work surface and line the pie dish.
  • 5.   Mix the bacon with the cream mixture and pour onto the pastry.
  • 6.   Place slices of Camembert on top and bake for about thirty minutes.

  • 1 shortcrust pastry
  • 150 g of sour cream
  • 50 g of mascarpone
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 sprig of chives
  • 3 stalk of fresh parsley
  • 100 g of bacon cube
  • 1 green onion
  • 1 garlic clove
  • ½ camemberts
  • salt (according to taste)
  • pepper (according to taste)

    Funny choice with the shortcrust pastry but for those who like sweet and savory, why not. Good but I would make it again with a pie crust
