Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Cut 8 cm long slices from the white radish.
3. Cut the slices into small pieces.
4. Bring water to a boil in a saucepan.
5. Add the radish and simmer until tender.
6. Prepare the béchamel sauce by melting the butter in another saucepan.
7. Add the flour and mix.
8. Add the milk and a pinch of nutmeg.
9. Season with salt and pepper, then mix everything together.
10. Simmer while stirring regularly until the mixture thickens.
11. Roll the tender radish pieces in slices of ham.
12. Place them in a lightly buttered baking dish.
13. Pour the béchamel sauce over them and sprinkle with grated gruyère cheese.
14. Bake and let it gratin.
