Beef Kebab

Contrary to popular belief, kebab is not an original and traditional Turkish dish but a German creation from the 70s with a slight "oriental" twist. Here is an easy kebab recipe to make for this tasty and filling sandwich made with lamb meat. Served in bread with vegetables, optionally with fries and a sauce, it is an interesting alternative to a burger.

Instructions

  • 1.   Peel and slice the onions. Cut the peppers lengthwise.
  • 2.   Sauté the onions and peppers in a hot and oiled pan. Add the tomato sauce.
  • 3.   Let it cook on low heat for 15 minutes, then set aside.
  • 4.   Blend the meat. Pour olive oil into a pan and brown the meat. Season with salt, pepper, and generously sprinkle with kebab spices.
  • 5.   Peel the garlic clove and blend it with a little parsley. Mix it with the yogurt.
  • 6.   Warm the bread in the microwave for a few minutes. Once out of the microwave, cut them lengthwise and place some lettuce leaves, the onion-pepper mixture, the yogurt-based sauce, and the meat inside.
